(My theme for the A-Z challenge is places, things and people around Chicago)
The Navy Pier is located on Lake Michigan in downtown Chicago. It’s 50 acres of parks, gardens, restaurants, an IMAX theater, a Ferris wheel and several entertainment venues where you can see everything from Shakespeare plays to circus acrobats to live rock bands. According to the website, they also have a lot of free shows. While neither Tom or I would set foot on a boat (again), they also have sightseeing and dining cruises, if that is your thing.
I have not been to the Navy Pier yet (so no pics and I do not believe in using pics from the web), but Tom has seen a couple of shows there at the Skyline Stage (Alice Cooper and Weird Al Yankovich). Another fun fact: Blue Oyster Cult recorded a live album and DVD at the Navy Pier.

Sounds like a great place!
That sounds like a fun place to roam. Get a hotel within walking distance and spend the weekend there.
I haven’t been back to Chicago since I had kids; this is making me think it’s time for a visit again, especially since we recently watched Ferris Bueller’s Day Off together!
Love the Navy Pier, we usually hit it up anytime we are in Chicago. At least when it’s warm out we do.
