Remember when we transplanted sunflowers on June 4 out of a planter into our backyard? If you need a refresher, you can read about it here.
I was worried how they would fare. For about a week or so it was touch and go. They’d look okay in the morning, then as the day progressed they would look droopy. I gave them sugar water when that happened and added extra soil to prepare them for a storm that came 9 days after the transplant.
As you can see, the ones we transplanted into the yard look good, 12 days after the transplant (pics were taken June 16).
The ones in the planter that were left behind are really enjoying the extra space!
They are going to be huge!
